Senegal, a West African country has wide variety of people and languages such as Wolof, Toucouleur, Serere, Diola, etc.. The richness of these various ethnic groups and folk traditions is a key part of Senegal’s national heritage. Folkloric dance and percussion group BALLET KALAMA AFRICA was founded in 1999 with the aim of preserving and sustaining the cultural heritage of Senegal. Since then, he has achieved success with original productions and performances around the world. His performances spread around different areas consist of traditional West African songs and dances and traditional percussion instruments such as sabar, djembe, souwrouba and congas.
